Norfolk’s annual “second line” with New Orleans’ special spirit and unique culture takes place Thursday, June 20 – Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Town Point Park on the downtown Norfolk, Virginia waterfront. The 24th Annual AT&T Bayou Boogaloo & Cajun Food Festival delivers the heart and soul of Louisiana to visitors of Town Point Park in true Cajun style.

From New Orleans to Norfolk, two stages featuring national recording artists provide musical entertainment for the weekend. Also on hand will be many local New Orleans musicians and artists who are sure to get your hands clapping, feet two-steppin’ and heart pumping throughout the weekend.

The Arts Market of New Orleans returns for its 8th season and brings with it talent, unique artistry and the culture of Louisiana! The Arts Council of New Orleans and Norfolk Festevents hand-pick the most unique and one-of-a-kind artists from Louisiana to share their stories, culture and craft. This year, over 24 artists in various mediums including art, jewelry and sculpture will be on site displaying their works. Check out the ONLINE ARTS MARKET GALLERY here to see artists works!

NEW THIS YEAR! Craving foods and seasonings that you can only get in Louisiana? Look no further thank theTotally N’awlins Grocery Market that will be selling products on site all weekend long! Stock up on products such as Zapp’s Potato Chips, CDM Coffee,  Slap Ya Mamma & Punch Ya Daddy Seasonings, Pat O’Brian’s Hurricane Mix, Try Me Tiger Hot Sauce and so much more! 

No Bayou celebration would be complete without the mouthwatering Cajun delicacies prepared by authentic Louisiana inspired chefs. Festival guests are in for a real treat as they find more than 5,000 pounds of live crawfish straight from Louisiana boiled up with corn and potatoes throughout the weekend, as well as jambalaya, seafood gumbo, crawfish etouffee, Po’ Boy sandwiches, alligator, muffuletta, andouille sausage, and beignets. There will also be Chef inspired dishes on site for Bayou guests to indulge in, such as Ms. Linda’s famous Ya-Ka-Mein, Chef Woody’s fish tacos and Jacques-Imo’s shrimp and alligator sausage cheesecake.Guests will also find festival favorites like sno balls (discovered in New Orleans, by the way!), root beer floats, smoothies, Italian water ice, glazed nuts, kettle korn and funnel cake. Wash it all down with a variety of cold beverages including a fine selection of beers straight from New Orleans’ own Abita Brewing Company as well as New Orleans-born Southern Comfort Hurricanes.
